About Kink & BDSM
Non-judgmental Therapy for Kinky People
Are you involved in the BDSM scene or lifestyle? Are you looking for relational support for your power exchange dynamic? Are you in need of tools to assist you in regulating or self-soothing following BDSM scenes or kinky play? Maybe you are looking to discover your place within the massive world of alternative lifestyles.
Are you looking for mental health support and want to find someone who not only won’t judge your lifestyle choices and activities, but is knowledgeable and has experience regarding BDSM, kink, and nontraditional relationship structures and dynamics?
You may have recently participated in a Shibari or rope bondage scene and feel curious about BDSM in general. Perhaps you are in a power exchange dynamic or engage in primal play and are wondering how you can share this significant and kinky part of yourself without having to contend with judgements that your consensual dynamic or consensually negotiated scenes are automatically abusive in nature.
You may not have concerns related to your alternative lifestyle, polyamorous relationships, BDSM practice, or participation in kink spaces, but you want to be able to bring up these topics without providing continuous education about them to your mental healthcare provider. If any of these questions have crossed your mind, I offer a therapeutic space for you.

I am a master's-level candidate holding a certificate to practice in Texas as a Licensed Master Social Worker. I practice under a board-approved clinical supervisor, at Mindful Therapy Group
BDSM-affirming Therapy
If any of this is resonating with you, you are likely aware of the acronym BDSM, which often refers to Bondage, Discipline or D/s, Sadomasochism. You probably understand the umbrella term kink. You may already know the difference between a Top and a Dom, a bottom and a submissive, and that being a switch is a legitimate identity, although all these self-identifiers are subject to evolution over time as individuals develop themselves and further their experience in the scene and BDSM play. You may or may not know how you relate to these topics and that’s okay. All levels of involvement in BDSM, the kink scene, including “vanilla” folks, are welcome here.
Unfortunately, there is a tendency for many professionals in the mental health field to pathologize the dynamics and activities of BDSM, kink, alternative dynamics, and nontraditional relationship structures, like ethical nonmonogamy and polyamory, that frequently coincide with kinky lifestyles. Many professionals simply do not understand or have interest in learning about kink culture. I not only understand BDSM, kink, alternative lifestyles, nontraditional relationships, and power exchange dynamics, I have personal experience with them. I am here to offer support and explore what matters to you, and to help you actualize the goals you have for your life and wellbeing.

Polyamory and Couple’s Therapy for Kinky Folks
If you are in a nontraditional relationship structure, such as polyamory or ethical nonmonogamy, and/or identify as LGBTQ+, I offer a safe and brave space for you to work on yourself and your relationships. I see individuals, couples, and polyamorous groups. I am trauma-informed, have completed Gottman training, and understand that different chemicals in the brain are activated in a variety of types of BDSM scenes.

Confidential and Fetish-affirming Therapy
I bring to every session my experience in these realms, my technical training as a social worker, guidance from mentors and my supervisor, and my genuine desire to learn about you and to see you actualize what you want out of your lifestyle and life in general. Topics we might discuss regarding alternative lifestyles, nontraditional relationships, BDSM, and kink include, but are not limited to: safe words, negotiations, emotional and cognitive changes from BDSM and kinky play, relationships and power exchange dynamics, jealousy, new relationship energy (NRE), identifying your needs and wants, boundaries and limits, emotional risk awareness and risk mitigation, clear verbal and nonverbal communication, grounding and safety during drop from subspace or Topspace, and barriers that affect your wellbeing, relationship(s), and kinky life.
I welcome you to this place of healing and invite you to reach out today! Let’s uncover the struggles you’re facing and discover what a better life means for you.
